Acceptable Use Policy
What you may and may not run on KB Solutions infrastructure.
Last updated 9 September 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") forms part of our Terms of Service and applies to everyone using KB Solutions services. It exists to keep our network fast, reputable and safe for every customer.
1. Prohibited content and activity
You may not use the Services to host, transmit or link to:
- material that is illegal where you are, where we operate, or where the content is served;
- child sexual abuse material — reported immediately to the authorities and grounds for instant termination without refund;
- malware, exploit kits, phishing pages, carding or credential-harvesting sites;
- content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property rights;
- material that harasses, defames or incites violence against any person or group.
2. Email and messaging
Unsolicited bulk email ("spam") is prohibited, whether sent from our network or advertising a site hosted on it. Mailing lists must be confirmed opt-in, carry a working unsubscribe link and an accurate sender identity. Open relays, open proxies and mail scripts without rate limiting are not permitted. We may apply outbound mail rate limits to protect the reputation of our IP ranges.
3. Network abuse and security
Port scanning, denial-of-service traffic, deliberate IP or DNS spoofing, attempts to breach any system without written authorisation, running open recursive DNS resolvers or unauthenticated NTP, and taking part in botnets are all prohibited — as is hosting command-and-control infrastructure.
4. Resource use on shared plans
Shared and reseller hosting is a shared environment. Processes that consume disproportionate CPU, memory, I/O or entropy may be throttled or stopped. Cron jobs must not run more often than every 5 minutes. Shared hosting must not be used primarily as a backup vault, a file-distribution mirror, a media-streaming platform, a proxy or VPN endpoint, or for cryptocurrency mining. If your site outgrows shared hosting we will help you move to a VPS or dedicated server.
5. Virtual and dedicated servers
You have root access and are responsible for keeping the operating system patched and secured. Insecure or compromised servers that harm the network may be suspended without notice until fixed. Cryptocurrency mining and public Tor exit nodes are not permitted. VPN and proxy services for your own use are permitted provided outbound abuse is prevented and logs are kept as your local law requires.
6. Domains
Registrant details must be accurate and kept up to date. Registries may suspend domains with invalid WHOIS data. Domains must not be used for phishing, typosquatting or trademark infringement.
7. Backups
Your service is not a backup service for unrelated data, and our backups do not replace your own.
8. Reporting abuse and enforcement
Report abuse to support@kbsolutions.agency with logs, headers and timestamps. Where we can, we contact you first and give you a window to fix the problem; where the risk to the network, to third parties or to our upstream providers is immediate, we suspend first and explain afterwards. Repeated or serious breaches lead to termination without refund. We cooperate with lawful requests from law-enforcement agencies.
